Apple Cinnamon Kataifi Crumble Cups

A warm, comforting twist on a classic apple crumble—this time with a crispy kataifi crust! These Apple Cinnamon Kataifi Crumble Cups are baked in muffin tins and feature spiced apples tucked into buttery kataifi layers. Perfect for fall gatherings or cozy nights in.

🛒 Ingredients (makes 6–8 cups)

For the Kataifi Base:

  • 7 oz (200 g) kataifi dough
  • 1/3 cup (80 g) melted butter
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

For the Apple Filling:

  • 2 medium apples, peeled and diced
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice

🍎 Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prep
    Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Gently pull apart kataifi dough and toss with melted butter and brown sugar.
  2. Make the Filling
    In a small pan, sauté diced apples with butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice until soft (about 5–7 minutes). Let cool slightly.
  3. Assemble the Cups
    Grease a muffin tin and press kataifi mixture into each cup to form a nest shape. Spoon apple filling into the center.
  4. Bake and Serve
    Bake for 15–18 minutes or until the edges are golden and crisp. Serve warm as-is or top with vanilla ice cream for extra indulgence.
